Ranking the 100 most promising software-savvy startups scaling fast across Europe (and beyond) in 2024
Sifted’s latest edition of this annual ranking lists the 100 most-promising European and Israeli B2B SaaS startups valued under $1bn in 2024. This year's methodology builds on previous editions of the Rising 100, integrating data-driven scouting with startup evaluation conducted by judges from our editorial and research teams — reflecting broader industry trends around the adoption of AI and data-driven tools into VC.
To be eligible, companies had to meet the following criteria: launched in 2017 or later; estimated valuation between $100-999m; fundraised any funding round in or after 2018; private and independent; and sells software products to other businesses (if there is a hardware component, it is off-the-shelf and a mechanism through which to sell software products rather than the core IP of the business).
Spanning 16 countries and 26 cities, this promising cohort of European and Israeli B2B startups is backed by more than 671 investors, angels and accelerators.
